Hi, my name is Stephen Cook. Welcome to my space.

Studio124 began as an idea for an architectural practice under the name of 3rdspace studio. Yes, I am actually an architectural designer by trade; I just happen to love taking landscape photos as well as many other forms of art and creating. Under the name of 3rdspace studio, I felt very limited to pursuing only designs and ideas that fit under that umbrella. Studio124 however, gives me the freedom to design and create without adhering to any kind of self imposed/preconceived brand. I have the freedom to be completely me and am allowed to form and shift into the creative that I am becoming.

I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Architecture and a minor in Construction Management and am currently pursuing licensure to practice architecture professionally.

After graduating, I discovered that I suddenly had free time on the weekends. I have always had some interest in photography but one weekend in July I decided to take off for the Smoky Mountains to go hiking. Taking my camera with me, I desperately tried to capture the beauty around me so that I could share the experiences I felt in nature with others.

What began as a simple hiking trip in the Smokies, turned into a passion for traveling to new places and capturing the best possible landscape photos that I can. Since that little hiking trip in 2016, I've travelled the world, been featured in art galleries around my home town of Atlanta, been featured in a number of online magazines, appeared on billboards and in local stores, and gained millions of views and thousands of downloads on unsplash.com.

I love to create and share my experiences with others. As of now, this website is geared mostly towards photography and serving as an online portfolio of the work I've done but hopefully in the near future I can start populating this space with my work as an architect and designer.
